Kim Bundy -- writerI am a writer of fantasy, though occasionally write science fiction and horror. I write weekly reviews of the television show, Roswell, for cinescape.com They gave me the job because I was born on the air force base and graduated from Roswell High. I'm planning to publish my novel with iuniverse.com towards the end of this year. It is a fantasy world with science fiction origins. I have been a roleplayer since 1980, as is my husband and two teen-aged sons. I have been actively involved in the live action role play organization, Amtgard, since 1990. My email address is
Constance CochranBy day, Constance Cochran is a mild-mannered editorial assistant. By nights and weekends she is a fanfic author and aspiring fantasy writer with delusions of grandeur. In the spare 30 seconds she has free a day, she's also a wingnut, rookery sib, x-phile, and gaper-at-others'-pretty-artwork.
Brandon Cope, writerI'm a non-graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University where I dabbled in mathematics, computer science, English and teaching. I currently reside at the local library, trying to keep our Internet computers working despite the concerted efforts of the local school kids. I blame all my oddities on my mother making me watch "Dark Shadows" while she did her ironing. Interests include baseball, roleplaying (when I get the chance), reading (fantasy, science fiction, horror and mysteries) and watching reruns of Mystery Science Theatre 3000. I've previously been published in Pyramid, Pyramid Online and Shadis, but I'm still looking for someone actually willing to give me money for a short story.
Steve Corbett, artistaka Iron Badger
Steve Corbett lives in Southern California, where he enjoys what he refers to as "small-time pro" status as a comic artist and frequent con-goer. A selection of his work can be found in the Anthropomorphic Image Archives of the Vixen Controlled Library Website: http://velar.ctrl-c.liu.se/vcl/Artists/ E-mail: Royce DayRoyce Day is a 32 year old office drone living in Columbia, MD. Douglas Defa, ArtistNAME: DOUGLAS C. DEFA DOB: DECEMBER 28, 1977 PLACE OF BIRTH: SAN FRANCISCO, CA OCCUPATION: MILITARY POLICEMAN I, like most artists, have been drawing since before I can remember. I have taken art classes in high school, but they where just an excuse for me to draw in school. I usually received D's as my grade for art class, only because I would rarely work on assigned work. And if I did the assigned work I would always find a way to add a dragon or a few demons to it. Because I did paint and draw in class, I never failed. However, after three years, my teacher (Mrs. Gibson) finally accepted my fantasy art for credit. Since then I have had drawings hang in Springville Museum of Art, and have received awards from Brian Durfee( Magic the gathering) and Leonard Parkin. I am still working on getting published in some nationwide fantasy magazines.( Anyone out there that can help pull some strings, please email me.:)!!) After high school I enlisted in the U.S. ARMY as an MP and am now living in Tennessee with my wife KayLee. I have less than 24 months until my enlistment is up. During this time I am getting some college and improve my artistic abilities. When my enlistment is complete I plan to move back to Utah and finish school. If you are interested in purchasing any of my original art, prints, or want to commission a piece; or if you just have a question Email me at . Denis De PlaenHello, guys! The name's Denis. I'm from Brussels, Belgium (for those who slept during the geography class, it's in Europe). I love to write stories, to explore roads left untouched by others authors, or go further when they didn't go far enough. I'm not too bad as a drawer either, though still learning. You'll tell me, one never stop to learn. I'm alos a RPG gamer, mostly in the supernatural style in general, and the World of Darkness, Lovecraft-lore (Call of Cthulhu games) and Kult in particular. All feedback are welcome, whether in English or French. Sincerely,
Anthony DocimoAs Anthony Docimo, I sometimes speak in the 3rd-Person, like now. {humor}. Most days, I’m pretty sure I was born in either the wrong time or the wrong timeline, which would probably explain my interest in some areas of history, as well as creating Alternate Histories. Kirk B. Dougal, writer
Kirk owns and operates his own business consulting firm by day and struggles mightily to help raise his twin two-year old daughters by night. During the scant few minutes of free time he can grab each day, he is an avid reader and writer of science fiction and fantasy. Sherry Ellison, writerSherry Schmidt Ellison is a lawyer in Atlanta, Georgia. She has been writing since she was a child, and has a passion for dragons. At present she has three novels written and several short stories. One of the novels crosses the line between romance and fantasy, while the other two are fantasy/adventure. She has three children and her own law firm, so finding the time to write is quite a challenge. You may e-mail her at: .
Emambu, writerMy full name is Erik Mambu. I have several hobbies (soccer, singing, programming to name three), but one of the ones I truly enjoy is writing. I've done several short stories set in the universes of Star Wars, Battletech, etc. In the works (although recently it's been suspended due to writer's block) is a full length story set in the universe of the game Total Annihilation. I have this delusional dream that it will be good enough for publication one day but that will never happen. :) Recently, I've also finished an outline for a "Gargoyles" fanfiction piece. With any luck, the finished product of that story will be my best story yet. Also, I'm a big fan of Star Wars. I write reviews of user-made levels for the computer game Dark Forces series. We love feedback. :) e-mail: Salvatore "Sam" FalcoAbout me: I have been gaming since 1981, having played a variety of RPGs including Champions, Fantasy Hero, Villains and Vigilantes, Shadowrun, GURPS, and every incarnation of D&D. GAK, artistLike some demented god of an elder race, GAK is spreading his tentacles planet-wide in his bid for world domination. With cutting edge illustration that mothers have warned children could put your eye out, he quietly gathers a legion of fans ready to fulfill his every whim...waaaaahhhahahahah!!! Actually GAK is some dopey guy, spending too much time on the beaches of Southern California when he should really be sitting at his drawing table churning out illustrations. His work has literally been seen planet-wide in such far flung lands as Australia, Germany, Finland and of all places, Slovenia...go figure. GAKART regularly appears in the magazines Terra Incognita, TransVersions and many others, along with a number of books including S.P. Somtows, "Tagging the Moon:Fairytales from L.A. and "Bad News", edited by Richard Laymon, Dead Cat Bounce by Gerard Houarner and the upcoming "Mondo Zombie". With work also appearing all over the web, television and cd covers...world domination can only be a matter of time. You can see GAKART online at http://www.feoamante.com/Gak or write him at for a complete listing of what books, cd's t-shirts and other stuff he has available.
David GoodnerDavid Goodner was born in Arlington, Texas in 1971. After that, details become sketchy. One account places him in the mythical realm of Camelot, where he was one of the Knights of the Round table, and briefly accompanied Pelenore on the hunt for the questing beast. An alternate version of events states that he grew up in Texas in relative obscurity, developed a love of Fantasy, Science Fiction, and Role-Playing games, and became obscenely good at Tetris. Reliable witnesses claim that he later graduated from Navarro College with a degree in Broadcasting, and from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in English. He currently lives in Arlington, pursuing a career that has nothing to do with either degree (like most people). He can be reached at

Lindy Hensley, poet/authorLindy Hensley is a long-time fan of Fantasy, Sci-fi and gaming. Her writing experience is just as varied, but little of it is public. It wasn't until she discovered fandom and fanfic with Disney's Gargoyles that the bug really bit her. She realized she could write just as good as some and better than others and took the plunge. Hooked, she has been writing on and off since 1994. Besides Gargoyles' fanfic, she is a member of the Third Rainbow, a writing group that is published online at http://www.firefox.org/. Her personal webspace is at http://home.carolina.rr.com/lindy and she can be reached at . She lives in Charlotte, NC with six cats, three dogs and a 47 year old little boy.

Noel LeasMy artistic specialties include wildlife, animals in general, landscapes, science fiction, anime, gothic fantasy, gothic punk, and especially fantasy. I got my training in high school and at Marywood University, Scranton, PA. Since then, I have gained many skills in desktop publishing, freelance painting, theater props, fabric art, and murals. I am also a huge fan of such shows as "Gargoyles", "X-Men", "The Tick", "Dragon Ball Z", and "Star Trek: Voyager".
Krista A. Leemhuis (aka Artemis), artistI've been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil--or so Mom tells me. :) I started with horses (which I still draw on occasion) and later moved to the Ninja Turtles--my childhood obsession--at least until Gargoyles came out. They were (and still are) my obsession. :)) I sketched them for a long time before I ever got started in digital artwork. Finally I did move to digital stuff, and began by drawing Apollo (one of my Greek Gargoyles Clan characters) pixel-by-pixel in PC Paintbrush. You can just imagine how well that turned out... Heh. THAT was back in the day! Anyway, I've been doing my digital art ever since, along side my non-digital stuff. I taught myself HTML and began designing my own webpages soon after taking up the comp as an art tool. My original site was Artemis' Gargoyles Clan (perhaps some of you have seen it...), which focused on my little spin-off of the Gargoyles show: the Greek Clan. Since then I moved to Wyvernweb and changed the name of my site to Surrealia. I took a liking to all sorts of fantasy characters though I mostly enjoy creating dragons, faeries, and gargoyles, and devoted much of my time to on my Atlantis storyline (which can be seen at http://surrealia.wyvernweb.com/atlantis).

Phil Masters, writerI was born in 1959, and I've been playing RPGs since 1978. I spent some years in the (inevitable) programming jobs, but these days I seem to spend most of my time writing role-playing material, primarily for SJG but also for White Wolf and others. And I'm married, and I live in the UK.
Matthew McKinnon-GrayLike most people I drew pictures for my parents' refrigerator. Unlike most people my drawings tended to be about cyborg waffles and samurai dinosaurs. While in recent years I've become interested in life model drawing I still enjoy sketching the strange and bizarre. My artistic
Jeff MeyersI'm a self taught writer and artist who, like everyone else here, has been drawing or painting all my life. It is only in the last few years that I started taking my artwork more seriously and only very recently that I decided to try my hand at fantasy work. I am drawn to this genre for two reasons. First, it is a departure from a lot of the stuff I have done so far. Second, I believe the art form truly challenges one's skills. I use a variety of mediums, but I primarily work in pencil, colored pencil and acrylic paints. I hope to learn and develop as an artist so that I might do more freelance work. Mark MillikenI'm on my fourth year at Penn State Harrisburg. My major is Finance so don't expect my writing to be awesome.:) I wrote a bit of fanfic and decided to try my luck at this. I read probably more fantasy novels by now than many people do in their whole lifetime. I hear my plots are strong and creative, but I still have to work on my grammar and wording. I hope this magazine will help me with my writing skills by getting feedback.
Christine Morgan, AuthorChristine has been a gamer since 1981 and a writer for even longer; she's also been happily married since 1992 and in 1994 became the proud mother of Rebecca Jaenyth Morgan, a third-generation gamer-in-training. She started off with AD&D (practically the only game in town back then), played some V&V, ElfQuest, Vampire: The Masquerade, Champions, and even a bit of Traveller 2300. But her main game of choice is GURPS, which she's been playing almost exclusively since it first came out. A better GM than PC, she likes to be in charge and know all the secrets. She has a few GURPS playtest credits and an article in Pyramid Magazine's Jan/Feb 1996 issue. Her first novel, Curse of the Shadow Beasts, came out in 1999 and the sequel, Dark of the Elvenwood, will be released this summer. She is currently at work on more novels, including continuations of her fantasy series and an occasional foray into the horror genre. Christine is well-known (THE Christine Morgan) among the Gargoyles fandom, especially for her 60+ series of fanfiction stories and editing a quarterly 'zine called Avalon Mists. More of her writing can be found at https://sabledrake.com, and she can be reached by e-mail at or
Tim MorganTim has been a gamer since 1981 and a games retailer since 1990. He has playtested for Steve Jackson Games and is a member of their volunteer promotion staff, the MiBs. He is an active Freemason and webmaster for his lodge's website. His hobbies include game collecting (big surprise!), medieval research and tinkering with his computers. He lives outside of Seattle, WA with his wife and daughter. He and his wife are the owners of Sabledrake Enterprises and editors of this magazine.
Matthew Reesis a missionary kid from Hong Kong, currently in the graduate RevelMy real name is William Anson and I'm from Houston currently attending the University of North Texas as a Communication Design major. That's just a fancy way of saying Comercial & Graphic Art. I've been drawing and creating characters since I was ten and I got into writing stories when I was fourteen. My first was a pathetic 42 pages, but you have to start somewhere. When I'm sleeping I'm usually drawing or writing because I feel doing both makes the other easier. I hope to someday quit being lazy and type these stacks of handwritten stories before they deteriorate and to design their covers and perhaps more. The nickname Revel came from when I was in high school football because I was the crazy one and described by my coaches as a reveler so it just kind of stuck.
S. John RossI'm a writer, game designer, editor, and graphic artist, commonly known for my work for Last Unicorn, SJ Games and other publishers of adventure roleplaying games (RPGs). I've written books for the Star Trek family of RPGs, GURPS and Derek Pearcy's In Nomine. I've also been known to roam the halls (in a metaphorical, freelance kind of way) of White Wolf, West End Games, Flying Buffalo and others. I've done work for several magazines, including: Autoduel Quarterly, White Wolf, Roleplayer, Shadis, and Dragon. I also served a three-month stint as Editor of Pyramid magazine. Using my Bookshop Page, you can purchase some of my work online via Amazon. I used to be part of the Tales From the Floating Vagabond team at The Avalon Hill Game Company (before the game vanished, the editor was fired and the department shut down), and I'm a contributor to the CityBook series from Flying Buffalo (as of CityBook VII: King's River Bridge). I used to be Associate Editor in charge of Wargames and Flight Sims at a CD-ROM magazine called Interactive Entertainment (where I also did work for IE's sister magazine, Strategy Plus). I also do freelance graphic and production work, including lots of logos for Pyramid and even floorplan designs for In Nomine. During my run as an SJ Games staffer, I was responsible for projects like the Silicon Valley Tarot and the second edition of Murphy's Rules. I was born on July 15th, 1971. Growing up the son of the U.S. Marine meant living all over the States, and in Japan (I currently reside in Austin, Texas with Sandra Ross, my wife). I'm a cook, iconoclast, and general layabout. I love my friends dearly, and Sandra even more dearly, and I suppose I'm defined mostly by that, and my chow. I love to get email. Christi Smith-HaydenChristi Smith Hayden is a freelance commercial artist from Texas, specializing in fantasy illustration. She is a collector of dragons and small boys (limited edition set, only two in existance. Thank goodness.) A writer as well as an artist, Christi hopes to be published one day.
Stephen Sobotka, Jr.Stephen R. Sobotka Jr. is a writer and commercial/graphic artist. He writes fantasy and science fiction with a "strong storytelling" base, and has been well established as a writer of quality fan-fiction--particularly with the on-line project "The Gargoyles Saga", based on the animated show "Gargoyles", and other fan-fiction crossover stories (based on several animated stories, such as "Swat Kats", "Gummi Bears", etc.) "Riverdaughter's Bent" is the first fantasy story of his that has been published to date. He currently resides in Spokane, Washington. Donald W. StephensBorn in northern California in 1949, which makes me kind of old. Moved to southern California in 1977 and have lived in the High Desert, about an hour out of L.A. ever since. Got married in 1967 to Miss Pat and we have been married forever. Went through a tour of Vietnam and have worked for the past 25 years or so as an auto mechanic. I was retrained last year to work on computers because my left hand underwent surgery. I got into roll playing in the late 70's and met Christine Morgan and her mom Laurie in about 1980 I believe. My wife and two boys were already roll playing with me and the following year Chrissy and her mom joined us along with a couple of other people. I was Christine's first GM and got her into Tarot cards. In other words, I helped wrap her into the woman she is today, LOL. After she went off to college at Humboldt the rest of us continued to play AD&D for awhile but eventually people just drifted away and could no longer find the time to play. I have always loved to write, create, and plain just use my mind for all sorts of things but my love for writing has been with me since early high school. I have been into computers since the Vic-20 days but not until 1998 did we have a computer that could get us on the internet, or allow us to receive e-mail. After we were up and running I got into 4 or 5 online fantasy roll playing games and then I started my own called Jendanni. Until last year I was a big Magic the Gathering fan, just couldn't afford to play anymore! I love the art of Luis Arroyo and playing just about any type of game that doesn't call for physical exertion! And I have a thing for maps. I love a good map, whether to just look at, or to draw! Maps are way cool! I'm 6'0'' with brown hair and eyes, and have started to grow a pot-belly! Here are some links you might enjoy:

TanaWell, if you haven't guessed, Tana McCarthy isn't actually my real name, but it's what I plan to go by in show business. And yep, I'm going to Academy of Art College in San Francisco to become an animator, so I will be working with movies or television. Or if not that, then I'll try my best to write and illustrate graphic novels (aka comic books). Brian Vigue, artistHello, y'all! I'm Brian Vigue, a.k.a. Vig! I'm pleased to say that Sabledrake #1 features my artwork entitled "Metamorphosis" as its cover. I've always liked fantasy, and I must say I was fortunate to realize my potential to create it as much as I admire it. Doodling has been a way of life for me, but it wasn't until the early 90's after graduating from high school when art became my calling. A resident of Waterville, Maine, USA, my professional function is to draw cartoons and design promotional material for the state's tourism. Aside from being published in many statewide guides, I've had work shown in Boston Magazine. My presence on the web is rather new, but already people are getting familiar with my swanky pin-up style as well as my feature character Bluette. You can find my gallery site at http://members.mint.net/vigistry and I also enter the Monthly Gargoyles Contest regularly (http://myst.org/mgc) I myself frequent Station 8 if you care to chat with me in person.
